About Vetonia
What is Vetonia?
We start with the Vetton culture, Vetonia, pre-Roman settlers of Celtic descent who inhabited this region of the Iberian Peninsula from where we speak to you today. Later, the Romans arrived in this land—from the 3rd century BC until the 5th century AD—and after a period with the Visigoths, the Muslim people settled here for many centuries, from the 8th to the 15th century AD. All of this left a palpable mark on the land, the people, and, of course, the language.
That’s why, from here, from the small and local, we expand and embrace the richness of the Spanish language with all its variations, influences, and nuances: Latin American Spanish, Southern Spain, Levante, Cantabria… the Spanish of youth, of doctors, of business, of travel…
Vetonia is a network of Spanish language teaching professionals (ELE, Spanish as a foreign language) working to offer you a new experience in learning and acquiring the language. Some of us met in the ELE Master’s program, others while working, and others through life… but what brings us together is a shared goal: curiosity to open paths of exchange and enrichment through Spanish language teaching.
Because learning a language is much more than learning words, we want you to experience Spanish with us.
