Vetonia has its roots in La Iglesuela del Tiétar, a small village in the Tiétar Valley just south of the Sierra de Gredos mountains.

Only 90 minutes from Madrid, this peaceful rural area offers a different side of Spain: mountain views, traditional villages, rivers, natural pools, local food and quiet life away from mass tourism.

Note: Activities may vary depending on the number of participants and the availability of local collaborators. However, each immersion experience always includes:

  • At least two hiking experiences in the valley (with the possibility of replacing one with horse riding, depending on availability and group preference)
  • A Spanish cooking experience
  • A visit to local organic gardens
  • A traditional craft workshop (wool or pottery)
  • A winery visit or a cultural visit to La Adrada Castle
  • A yoga or traditional folklore session

Each day combines Spanish learning, cultural activities, shared meals and relaxed conversation, so you can practice the language in a natural way.

Morning

Breakfast and Spanish session

Start the day with breakfast followed by a
small-group Spanish class focused on communication,
practical language and the day’s activities.

Late Morning

Activity in the valley

Continue learning Spanish through local experiences such as visiting organic gardens, cooking, yoga, traditional crafts, or meeting people from the community.

Afternoon

Practice through experience

After lunch and time to rest, take part in another activity where Spanish is practiced naturally, such as a pottery workshop, horse riding, cooking, yoga or visit community gardens.

Evening

What level of Spanish do I need?

Our immersion experiences are designed for learners with at least a basic level of Spanish. The program adapts to the participants and focuses on communication and real-life language.

If you are unsure about your level, you can take a quick Spanish placement test before joining the program.

Groups are intentionally small to encourage conversation and a relaxed learning environment.

Each immersion program is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.

The immersion takes place in La Iglesuela, in the Tiétar Valley, a beautiful rural region south of the Sierra de Gredos, about 1.5 hours from Madrid.

It is an authentic area of small villages, nature and traditional culture — an ideal setting for language immersion.

Depending on the number of participants and the availability of rural accommodations, we offer several lodging options in the area.
